What I collect
Only what you type into the contact form: your name, email address, business name if you give one, your message, and how you heard about me. The form also records the date, your IP address and your browser's user-agent string, which exist to stop automated spam and to prove when you gave consent.
Why I collect it
To reply to you. That is the whole purpose. I do not sell it, share it, or add you to a mailing list unless you ticked the box asking me to.
Marketing email
Under Canada's anti-spam legislation, sending you a commercial message needs your consent. Sending me an inquiry gives me six months to reply about that inquiry. It does not put you on a list. If you ticked the newsletter box, you gave express consent, which lasts until you withdraw it — and every email I send will carry an unsubscribe link that works.
How long I keep it
Inquiries are kept for three years, then deleted. Consent records are kept for the same period because the law puts the burden of proof on the sender.
Who else touches it
- My web host, which stores the site and its data.
- My email provider, which delivers your message to me.
Your rights
You can ask to see what I hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Email admin@contentedmanager.com and I will deal with it.
Who is responsible
